Kenya’s Uncover Raises $1 Mil to Expand Skincare Product Enterprise Across Africa

Samata Capital is excited to be part of the $1 million seed round for Uncover alongside FirstCheck Africa, Future Africa, and IgniteXL as well as angel investors ex-SokoWatch COO Kwenhui Tawah and WPP Scangroup CEO Patricia Ithau.

Co-founder and CEO, Sneha Mehta, indicated that the company plans to use the funding to launch more products, expand into additional markets, and grow its tech and data capabilities in order to effectively produce, reach, and market to their audience more efficiently. Mehta says that since the launch, the start-up’s revenue has grown 20-fold, buoyed by the growing demand for its products.
